Recently our family subscribed to the STEM Club from Amazon! We have been looking for something we can do with the kids. Or, that they can do themselves for quiet time. Of course, we all know how precious quiet time can be when you are a parent! Eventually, our very first package arrived a few days ago and the kids are already diving in. Conveniently, the subscription is tailored to their age, and we chose 8-13 years for our oldest Bentley. 3-4 years for our daughter Parker. There’s also a 5-7 year range that we’ll be growing into. The items they send are designed to stimulate their brain, promote creativity, and get them thinking.
What Our Family Received
Our most recent items for the kids were both engineering based. Parker’s was the Automobile Engineer from Thames & Kosmos. It came in this cute storage box for all the parts. With a book with directions on how to build the different creations. The parts are the perfect size for her little hands. She was able to put it together with little help from us. She really enjoyed seeing the pieces come together to make what was pictured.
Next, Bentley’s item was the Engino Discovery STEM Levers, Linkages and Structures Building Kit. He went right to building! His kit was more problem solving and figuring out how things worked mechanically. It also had a ton of things to choose from to build!
It’s a Win-Win
Finally, This is just what our family needed as the Christmas break came to a close. With a few of us getting sick (all of us). And, with the weather being bone chilling cold the past week. The kids needed something other than TV to occupy their time and this mama needed some downtime!
The Amazon STEM Club subscription service through Amazon is $19.99 a month and seems to be a great deal! Both STEM items our family received were worth $25.00+ each. I’d say that it was worth every penny. Nothing beats something educational for our kids at a great price! Plus, what better way to entertain them on this extremely long Christmas Break!
